I think this is so cool. I love book art of any kind.

Hello all. This is Sam/Kyle.I had some questions about binding. I’m hoping to get a binder from another FtM soon. I’ve heard it affects your breathing (obviously) but do you ever adjust to that? I’m a flute performance major at University and I’ve worked for eight years to improve my lung…
Hey, I’m a fellow musician and I’ve dealt with the same problem. Personally, I don’t wear a binder when I preform just to make sure my breathing isn’t inhibited. If I was you, I’d try a sports bra with compression. It works well for me and is definetly more comfortable to play in than my binder.
Hope this helps =).
Personally, singing, I’ve never had a problem with lungs, having been binding basically full-time for the past year — if you have a proper binder it shouldn’t be too much of an issue.
I use a Frog Bra from Title Nine, and I won’t lie, it is tight enough that it’s noticeable. However, as a trombone player and vocalist, I can say that with minimal practice, you can get full lung capacity.
